2021 COVID Transition Map.
It looks busy and crowded but we assure you IT IS NOT. This is our Transition layout for the Spring Duathlon. Each Red Line represents a bike rack with just 5 athletes on the rack. Overall the run-through transition is about 3 times as long as it normally is. This is how we will be able to fit 300 athletes socially distanced.
Our start line will be a self-seeded time-trial start sending 2 athletes every 10 seconds out onto the run course. Doing this will help create social distancing both at the start line but also in the transition area. We will also see athletes more spread out over the course.
RaceAwesome is essentially reinventing our races, working hard to create SAFE events while still allowing athletes to compete in a competitive LIVE environment.
Right now we are still capped at 250 athletes and the race is SOLDOUT. We have a waitlist for those who want to get one of the 50 more spots once we are approved for 300 athletes. Slots will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Once selected from the waitlist you will receive an email with a link to register, you will have 24 hours to register. If you do not register in this time span your spot will be given to the next person in line.
To get on the waitlist please go to https://runsignup.com/Race/WaitList?eventId=318807
